COLUMBUS – State Representative Darrell Kick (Loudonville) announced today that House Bill 321 passed out of Agriculture and Conservation Committee.

House Bill 321 passed with a vote of eight to zero. The Legislation will help make necessary updates to the licensing process of becoming a licensed auctioneer.

This legislation will eliminate the outdated apprenticeship requirements that exist with the current process of obtaining an auctioneer license. Additionally, the bill will require all auctioneers to complete an eight-hour training course every two years coinciding with their license renewal.

“House Bill 321 is a simple bill that will provide necessary and common-sense improvements to the process of becoming a licensed auctioneer in Ohio,” added Kick.
