Representative Troy Announces Expansion of the Flexjet Global Headquarters in Richmond Heights
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced the approval by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) to expand the Flexjet Global Headquarters in Richmond Heights, OH. The expansion is projected to create 976 new full-time positions at the company and will generate approximately $62.5 million in new annual payroll by December 31, 2031. The project also retains 1,184 existing positions at the global headquarters.
“This investment by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for this expansion at the Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Heights is welcome news for that community and Northeastern Ohio. 976 new good paying full-time jobs will not only improve the local economy but also generate significant tax revenue for the city to help them provide critical services for that community's citizens,” said Rep. Troy.
The Ohio TCA approved a 1.92 percent 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project. Flexjet is a global private aviation company that provides private jet leasing and fractional ownership programs. The global headquarters, first opened in 2023, operates at the Cuyahoga County Airport located at the east end of Richmond Heights.

This expansion means new jobs, increased economic activity, and another major step forward in the exciting transportation happening throughout our city,” explained Richmond Heights Mayor Kim A. Thomas. “Richmond Heights is growing, businesses are investing, and we are proud that Flexjet is a part of that growth and even prouder that they continue to call Richmond Heights home.”
Flexjet’s expansion was announced alongside four other Ohio development projects approved by the TCA last week. Collectively, the projects are anticipated to create 1,429 jobs statewide and will result in over $239 million in investments across Ohio. The Flexjet expansion is the largest of these projects, responsible for over two-thirds of the expected new jobs from this batch of approvals.
