COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced $117,023 in arts grants for artists and art organizations in his district. This historic investment follows the recent passage of the state operating budget.

“I am glad to see that the Ohio Arts Council has recognized these entities and their programs with these grant dollars. The dollars we included in the recently enacted state budget are a way in which we can assist these local community partners that are often short on the resources they need. They do so much to enrich the appreciation of the arts and the quality of life for our citizens, and I am committed to keeping that needed public investment in the good work that they do,” Representative Troy stated.

The Ohio Arts Council is the organization that oversees the grants. The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
