Rep. Troy Announces Approval of Job Creation Tax Credit in Richmond Heights
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that the Tranzonic Companies will receive a 1.421%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for an expansion project in the City of Richmond Heights.
“Tranzonic's proposed project in Richmond Heights involves expanding its current headquarters. This renovation will support the company's growth following a recent acquisition. Ohio was competing with Indiana and Tennessee for this proposed project, and state support will help it move forward in Ohio,” said Rep. Troy. “This is welcome news, and further indicates that Richmond Heights continues to demonstrate that it is a great community for business development and expansion.”
The company plans to create 31 full-time positions, generating $2,835,121 in new annual payroll and retaining $9,216,255 in existing payroll by December 31, 2027. The Tranzonic Companies produces and supplies cleaning and hygiene products, catering to a wide range of customers across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and business consumer markets. The tax credit will be applied to Ohio employee payroll that exceeds Tranzonic’s baseline payroll at the project site.
This incentive is tied to the creation of $2,835,121 in new annual payroll as part of Tranzonic’s expansion project in Richmond Heights. Under the terms of the agreement, Tranzonic is required to maintain operations at this location for at least eleven years.
