COLUMBUS — The House Democratic members on the Joint Committee on Congressional Redistricting slammed today’s failure by the Republican-controlled committee to advance any fair, constitutional maps, calling it another broken promise to the people of Ohio.

COLUMBUS — The House Democratic members on the Joint Committee on Congressional Redistricting today advocated for a hearing on House Bill (HB) 442. Monday’s first public hearing did not include a Republican proposed map. Democrats will continue to hold Republicans accountable for their attempt to tip the scales of democracy with extreme partisan gerrymandering, at the request of President Donald Trump.

Antonio (D-Lakewood) today introduced legislation putting forth the fairest congressional redistricting proposal in recent years. Democrats are introducing their redistricting plan now to comply with Ohio’s September 30 deadline for the General Assembly to pass a bipartisan map.
