COLUMBUS - State Rep. Crystal Lett (D-Columbus) today announced that The Ohio Department of Development (DOD) awarded a $200,000 tech start-up grant to LittleSeed Inc. in Hilliard to commercialize technology for a child-safe comfort device that helps children manage anxiety, pain and nausea. The grant will go toward the development of tech that provides a more soothing experience for children receiving pediatric care.

“Hospitals, medical offices, unfamiliar grown-ups, tests, and treatments can be uncomfortable or scary for children. Making the medical experience more comfortable for kids is a worthy investment,” said Rep. Lett.

LittleSeed Inc. uses augmented (virtual) reality and a comprehensive spectrum of mixed media tools to help patients and families feel well when receiving care. Notably, they created EZ Induction, which is an interactive program that soothes and distracts pediatric patients during anesthesia induction.
