Abrams Supports Local Drug Task Force Funding for Hamilton County

COLUMBUS—State Representative Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) has issued the following statement on local drug task force funding announced for Hamilton County to support reducing drug use and provide substance abuse awareness and prevention:

“As a former city of Cincinnati Police Officer, I have seen firsthand the effects of drug addiction in Hamilton County. I know how difficult it can be to recover from such an addiction, so I am pleased to know that RecoveryOhio is dedicated to making a change. I supported this program in the operating budget last year, and I am glad to see the funding coming home to Hamilton County.”

The representative’s statement comes after it was announced the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force is set to receive $21,579 and the Hamilton County Heroin Task Force & QRT is set to receive $237,578 from the RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund.
