Abrams Announces Meat Processing Funding for Hamilton County Business

State Rep. Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) announces significant funding for the Hamilton County meat processing company, Whitewater Processing, LLC. The funding stems from the Ohio Meat Processing Grant Program.

“I am thrilled that this grant program is coming to the business community here in Hamilton County,” Abrams said. “It is an honor to be able to support local businesses through legislation and grant funding.”

Abrams supported HB 110, the state operating budget, which is funding this program. The program will aid meat processing companies in implementing innovative processing methods, expanding or constructing facilities, training, and improving their harvesting procedures.

Whitewater Processing, LLC is set to receive $250,000 from the grant program.

So far, this program has awarded nearly $28 million to 59 counties in just two rounds. This third round will give $3 million in total to businesses in 11 different counties.
