Rep. Glassburn of Ohio House District 15 Sworn Into 136th General Assembly
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Chris Glassburn (D-North Olmsted) Monday was sworn into the 136th Ohio General Assembly. Rep. Glassburn will be beginning his first term in the legislature, serving the people of Brooklyn, Brook Park, Linndale, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Township and parts of Cleveland at the Ohio Statehouse.
“It is an honor to be sworn in as the state representative for District 15. I look forward to working on both sides of the aisle, especially when common ground can be found on issues like property tax relief,” said Rep. Glassburn.
Rep. Glassburn has previously served his community for over 20 years. For the last seven years, Rep. Glassburn has been the councilman for Ward 2 in North Olmsted. He previously served on the North Olmsted School Board. Rep. Glassburn is a member of the League of Women Voters and in his spare time volunteers with the Maple Elementary PTA Produce Market distributing food to those in need.
Rep. Glassburn is a lifelong Northeast Ohioan. Born in Painesville, Rep. Glassburn grew up and graduated high school in North Olmsted. He has a Bachelor's degree in history from Baldwin Wallace College. Since 2016, Rep. Glassburn has been the owner and president of a successful small business in North Olmsted, providing professional services to local businesses, non-profits, and governments. He lives in North Olmsted with his wife Megan Murphy and they have one daughter.
As a legislator, Rep. Glassburn’s top priority is fighting inflation and reducing the cost of living.
