Today, Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) applauded the House passage of House Bill (HB) 93, legislation to modify the state’s address confidentiality program (Safe at Home), a long-held Democratic priority that allows victims of domestic violence, stalking, rape, human trafficking, or sexual battery who fear for their safety to keep their address confidential and out of the public record. 

Today, Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) announced the State Controlling Board approved several requests for funding to support some of Ohio’s most important and vulnerable populations during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today applauded the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 2, a long-held Democratic priority that would create the Ohio Residential Broadband Expansion Program, specifically designed to bring broadband access to unserved residential households in both rural and urban areas of the state.

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) issued a statement today about the Biden Administration’s recent decision to rescind states’ ability to impose work requirements on those enrolling in Medicaid.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and Janine Boyd (D-Cleveland Heights) today announced the introduction of House Bill (HB) 79, or the Caregiver Expenses Tax Credit.  Previously introduced as HB 454 in the 133rd General Assembly, this legislation would provide a tax credit of up to $1,000 for certain expenses incurred by a family caregiver for the care and support of a qualifying family member.  To qualify, the family member must be age 18 or over and require assistance with at least one activity of daily living.

COLUMBUS –This week, State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) announced the State Controlling Board approved $100 million in federal funds for the state’s Rent Assistance Program to aid Ohioans impacted by the pandemic with financial assistance to pay rent, rent arrears, utilities and home energy costs, and utility and home energy costs arrears.

State Reps. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and Monique Smith (D-Fairview Park) have requested that Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health’s Director Stephanie McCloud include early childhood educators and child care workers in prioritization for COVID-19 vaccine distribution alongside K-12 educators. Since the beginning of the pandemic, many of Ohio’s child care programs have struggled to remain open - operating at substantially lower capacity and at a financial loss - so that essential workers have the vital child care services needed to continue working.
