Rep. Russo to serve second term on Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today announced her re-appointment to the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee, a bicameral, bipartisan body that oversees various facets of Ohio’s Medicaid program.

“The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic clearly underscores the need for quality, affordable, accessible healthcare for all Ohioans,” said Rep. Russo.  “I look forward to continuing to serve on this committee and using my expertise to help address not only this ongoing public health crisis, but also the other critical healthcare issues Ohioans currently face. By working together, we can promote efficiency, protect the integrity of the state’s Medicaid program, and improve health outcomes for all Ohioans, especially our most vulnerable.”

Rep. Russo currently serves as Ranking Member on the Ohio House Health Committee.  She previously served on both the Ohio House Health Committee and the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee in the 133rd General Assembly.  Additionally, Rep. Russo has spent the last two decades advising leaders and policymakers on issues related to the healthcare financing and care delivery needs of seniors, vulnerable populations, veterans and military families.
