Rep. Sweeney announces state support for Dental Health Services in Parma Heights
State Rep. Bride Sweeney (D-Cleveland) today announced the release of $55,000 in state funds for Dental Health Services in Parma Heights to provide dental health care at two regional behavioral healthcare providers.
“I applaud the great work of Dental Health Services and am looking forward to this investment coming to my district,” Sweeney said Monday. “Every Ohioan deserves access to essential health care services that contribute to their well-being.”
Dental Health Services will provide dental services for the clients hospitalized at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare and Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare. Due to the nature of the client's behavioral issues, there are limited choices of providers who will provide in-house dental services.
The funds were approved Monday by the state Controlling Board, a bipartisan panel that oversees state spending.
