COLUMBUS—State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) was pleased to announce that the Cuyahoga Falls City Council recently passed a resolution to accept state funding for the Cuyahoga Falls Regional Fire Training Complex.

Roemer helped secure $3 million in one-time project funding for the complex from the Strategic Community Investment Fund during the 135th General Assembly. Upon completion, the state-of-the-art training complex will provide fire departments throughout Summit County and the greater region with the ability to perform essential emergency training.

“This transformative project will serve not only residents of Cuyahoga Falls, but all surrounding communities,” said Roemer. “Quality training sets our first responders up for success and increases public safety.”

Roemer championed the funding and attended the City Council meeting alongside State Senator Kristina Roegner.
