Roemer Highlights Extended Ohio Sales Tax Holiday

COLUMBUS—State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced that Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday begins today. The extended holiday will take place through August 14th.
Almost all tangible personal property priced at $500 or less is tax-free. Examples of eligible items include:
- Electronics: Computers, televisions, and other gadgets
- Clothing: Any apparel items
- Books: All types, including novels and textbooks
- Home Goods: Furniture, kitchenware, and home décor
- Plants: Indoor and outdoor plants
- Sporting Goods: Equipment and apparel for sports
- Food and Beverages: Dine-in food, dietary supplements, and soft drinks
“This two-week holiday is designed to serve families as they prepare to head back-to-school,” said Roemer. “Make sure to shop local and save big!”
