Bill Roemer News

State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced today that he will again decline employee benefits from the state of Ohio, worth over $16,000 of taxpayers’ funds. The package offered includes life, health, vision, dental insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, as well as enrollment in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

“As a State Representative, I have always viewed the faithful and effective stewardship of taxpayer dollars as one of my chief responsibilities,” said Roemer. “It is for that reason that I am again refusing state benefits. In dedicating my time and efforts to public service, I want to do everything I can to give back to the people of Ohio, and this is just one more way I feel I can do so.”

Roemer was sworn in Monday, Jan. 4 as state representative for the 38th House District, covering portions of Summit and Stark counties.
