Representative Roemer Announces New Project in Summit County
COLUMBUS – State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved the assistance for 12 projects in Ohio. These projects will create 3,962 new jobs in Ohio and retain 717 jobs across the state.
Amazon, an e-commerce company that sells a variety of products and services online, will create a new project in Summit County that will bring 1,500 full-time positions to Northeast Ohio. These positions will generate $46.8 million in new annual payroll.
“I am ecstatic to see the previous site of the Rolling Acres Mall being repurposed into a wonderful modern facility thanks to Amazon,” Roemer stated. “The hardworking men and women of Summit County have long distinguished themselves as dedicated, reliable and loyal to their home and I expect this to be merely the beginning of many partnerships to come.”
The 12 projects in total will generate investments upwards of $705 million in Ohio. Additionally, the projects will add $153 million in payroll.
