State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) personally met with the Boston Township Trustees to discuss the funding for Boston Twp. Hall awarded from Substitute House Bill 2, in conjunction with State Senator Roegner, the state's two-year construction budget for capital projects across Ohio.

Boston Township Hall, first constructed in 1887 and expanded in 1920, will receive $50,000 to meet current ADA standards. The building houses the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum and hosts a wide range of events, including family reunions and weddings.

“Boston Township Hall has a rich history in the Peninsula community,” said Roemer. “Bringing the building up to present-day ADA compliance will ensure that residents old and young can enjoy the space for years to come.”

“A big thank you to Rep. Bill Roemer and his staff for all their help in getting Boston Township a $50,000 grant for our historic Town Hall,” said Boston Township Trustee Randy Bergdorf. “With this grant, we can continue to improve and preserve this unique building for the future.”

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the legislation on June 28, supporting the ADA compliance updates to Boston Township Hall, so more Peninsula residents can enjoy the historic space.
