Representative Holmes Speaks at OSU about the Future of Urban Air Mobility

COLUMBUS – Ohio has the potential to be at the center of a transportation revolution comparable to the development of the railroad, State Representative Adam Holmes (R-97) said Thursday. He delivered remarks during the capstone panel discussion of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Symposium at Ohio State University. The symposium was an all-day event that brought together private sector and policy leaders for an in-depth discussion on the future of autonomous drone technology and how to position Ohio as a leader in the industry.

“Ohio has it all in regards to supporting the aviation and aerospace industry,” Holmes said. “We have the manufacturing base, the academic infrastructure, and the political will.”

As Chairman of the Ohio Aerospace & Aviation Technology Committee, Representative Holmes looks forward to providing feedback from the symposium to the rest of the Committee, which is scheduled to meet in March.
