COLUMBUS - State Reps. Adam C. Miller (D-Columbus) and Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) today introduced legislation that would require the Secretary of State to create a system where U.S. service members, and other government employees, can vote electronically. Local boards of elections are required to mail uniformed services or overseas absentee ballots before the primary or general election. For people serving overseas, often in dangerous or remote areas, traditional mail or landlines are not feasible or practical.

COLUMBUS - State Reps. Adam C. Miller (D-Columbus) and Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) today introduced legislation that would name a portion of State Route 315 as the “Jesse Owens Memorial Highway.” The Jesse Owens Memorial Highway would run between King Avenue and Broad Street and illustrate the connection between the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on campus and his home on the west side of Columbus, where he lived while attending Ohio State.

COLUMBUS - State Reps. Adam C. Miller (D-Columbus) and Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) today introduced a resolution calling on Ohio to invest in passenger rail across the state and take an active role in the federal “Amtrak Connects US” plan. 

COLUMBUS—Today, Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) sent a letter to Gov. Mike DeWine urging him to veto Senate Bill (SB) 157, the latest Republican anti-abortion bill. Opponents say SB 157 would put patients in danger by interfering with the ability for doctors and patients to make appropriate and life-saving medical decisions if faced with a medical crisis during pregnancy.

Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) today issued a statement on the passage of HB 29, which legalizes regulated sports betting in Ohio. Legalizing and taxing sports gaming will raise several tens of millions of dollars per year for education. Miller served as a member on the Select Committee on Gaming and was a key author of the legislation.
