Stewart Supports SAFE Act Veto Override

COLUMBUS – State Representative Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) today made the following statement in response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act, which he co-sponsored.

“Biological males should not be competing against females in sports, and permanent sex-change surgeries should not be performed on children,” said Stewart. “I was proud to co-sponsor the SAFE Act, to vote for it on the House floor, and now, to override the governor’s veto.”  

The veto override of the SAFE Act will now be considered by the Ohio Senate.
