Speaker Huffman Issues Statement on Governor DeWine's Appointment of Husted to Fill U.S. Senate Seat

COLUMBUS—Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) today released a statement regarding Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s appointment of Lt. Governor Jon Husted to fill the open U.S. Senate seat.

“I first had the opportunity to work with Jon Husted as a new legislator in the Ohio House when he was Speaker, and over the years, we’ve had a great, productive working relationship and have been able to get a lot done for the people of Ohio. There is no one more qualified to be our next U.S. Senator.
