Speaker Householder Announces Screening Panel to Fill Ohio's 97th House District Vacancy

COLUMBUS - Speaker of the Ohio House Larry Householder (R-Glenford) and members of the Ohio House Republican Caucus today announced a screening panel to begin reviewing candidates wishing to fill the vacant 97th House District seat.

At the Speaker’s request, Rep. Jay Edwards (R-Nelsonville) will serve as the chairman of the panel. The panel of Republican House members will include Rep. Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville), Rep. Don Jones (R-Freeport) and Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum). The panel will meet to interview candidates on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
