Speaker Cupp Honors Bluffton Police Officer Dominic Francis

Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) honored Bluffton Police Officer Dominic Francis on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives today with a moment of silence and a few remarks to recognize his life.

“I think we all recognize that words alone can never fully describe the loss of those who protect and serve our communities,” Cupp said. “And Officer Francis’s selfless service will forever be a part of the heritage of the Bluffton Police Department. And he will be remembered for giving his last full measure of devotion to the protection of the community. Our deepest sympathies are extended to Officer Francis’s family.”

Both Speaker Cupp and State Rep. Jon Cross (R-Kenton) share parts of Bluffton in their House Districts. Cross also gave a few remarks to honor Officer Francis.

“I’d just like to extend, on behalf of the Ohio House, our sympathies for Officer Francis’s family and his friends,” Cross said. “And I want to thank the federal, state and local law enforcement agencies that apprehended those three criminals in a very quick manner to keep our communities safe.”
