Speaker Cupp Announces Christine Morrison As Interim Chief of Staff
COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) today announced Christine Morrison, currently the House Budget Director, will serve as Interim Chief of Staff. She will retain her duties as Budget Director.
“Christine Morrison is an accomplished public servant and I very much look forward to having her serve as my Interim Chief of Staff,” Speaker Cupp said. “The House has a lot of work to do in the midst of the global economic and health crisis and I know Christine will do well as we seek to do that work.”
Morrison has served as president of the State Controlling Board, deputy director of the Governor’s Office of Budget and Management, assistant director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, as well as various other positions in state government and the legislature.
Jonathon McGee and Matthew McAuliffe resigned effective today as Chief of Staff and Policy Director, respectively.
“I sincerely appreciate Jonathon and Matthew’s work in the House of Representatives,” Speaker Cupp said. “Their service to the state of Ohio is greatly appreciated and I wish them both well.”
Paul Disantis will serve as Interim Chief Legal Counsel and Interim Policy Director. Disantis currently serves as Chief Deputy Legal Counsel.
