Representative Ginter Appointed to Chair Aging and Long-Term Care Committee
COLUMBUS – State Representative Tim Ginter (R-Salem) was appointed today by Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford) to Chair the House Aging and Long-Term Care Committee. The committee will consider legislative issues that are pertinent to older adults.
“I am honored to be appointed chairman of the Aging and Long Term Care Committee by Speaker Householder and I look forward to working with the other members of this committee on the issues that impact our aging population,” said Rep. Ginter. “Today, our state has 2.5 million residents over the age of 60, and our 60-plus population is growing more than 20 times faster than our overall population. Our objective is to do our best to meet the current needs of this population and also prepare for the challenges we will face in the near future.”
Representative Ginter serves on Health and State and Local Government committees, as well as the Ohio Advisory Council on Aging, the Governor’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives and the Ohio Child Support Guideline Advisory Council.
