COLUMBUS—State Representative Levi Dean (R-Xenia) today urged Buc-ee’s to withdraw its trademark lawsuit against Beaver’s Mini Mart in Beavercreek.

As a small business owner in Beavercreek, Dean understands the dedication required to build and operate a local business, as well as their role as the main driver of a strong local economy. He noted that Beaver’s Mini Mart is 16 miles from Buc-ees, does not sell fuel, and is not a meaningful competitor to Buc-ee’s core business, making the lawsuit an unnecessary burden on a local small business.

“I believe that companies have the right to protect their intellectual property, but unnecessary litigation against a small business only places additional strain on local economy, especially at a time when many families are already grappling with rising grocery costs,” said Dean.
