COLUMBUS – State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) is proud to announce she was recognized as a 2026 State Legislative Champion by Mental Health America, the nation's leading nonprofit for mental health.

The award recognizes a bipartisan group of state leaders who are advancing policies that strengthen behavioral health systems, expand prevention and treatment resources, reduce barriers to care, and improve the lives of people living with mental health and substance use conditions in their states.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition, but the credit belongs to the families, providers, and advocates across Carroll and Columbiana counties who have shared their stories and championed better access to care,” said Rep. Robb Blasdel. “I remain committed to continuing that work on their behalf in the General Assembly.”

The honorees were celebrated during Mental Health America’s Regional Policy Council meeting in Chicago on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Established in 2009, the Regional Policy Council brings together experts across policy, industry, government, and Mental Health America’s affiliate network to advance mental health advocacy.
