Rep. Robb Blasdel Highlights Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant Program

COLUMBUS – State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) today announced that the application for the Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant will be open September 4 until September 13 at 11:59 p.m.
Rep. Robb Blasdel, who serves on the House Transportation Committee, said the program gives schools across the 79th District a meaningful way to bring students to see their government firsthand.
"This grant program gives our local schools a great opportunity to bring students to see their government in action without straining their transportation budgets," said Rep. Robb Blasdel. "I encourage every eligible school in the 79th District to apply before the September 13 deadline."
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) will award 180 grants to schools across Ohio, helping cover the cost of school bus transportation to the Ohio Statehouse and its museum. Grants will be awarded evenly among three categories based on one-way travel from the applicant's school to the Ohio Statehouse:
- 0 to 50 miles (60 grants)
- 51 to 100 miles (60 grants)
- 101+ miles (60 grants)
Only schools that receive state funding are eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted online and by an authorized teacher or school administrator. To learn more information, click here.
