Rep. Reineke Joins Local Institutions to Announce Enhanced Career Pathways
COLUMBUS—State Representative Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) joined Terra State Community College and Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers (VSCTC) as they announced a mutual partnership to develop enhanced, seamless career pathways in a variety of programs.
The goal of this collaboration is to meet workforce demands in the region while also more efficiently using taxpayer dollars by combining resources, equipment, and personnel. The two institutions will endeavor to provide cooperative work experiences by partnering with area businesses, industries, and economic development organizations.
“It is really important to recognize the needs of the workforce while at the same time fulfilling student purpose,” said Reineke. “A job leads to a career, and training a student for a job is our responsibility.”
The programs included in the partnership are auto technologies, business administration, criminal justice, culinary and hospital management, digital and information technologies, engineering technologies and robotics, health and medical fields, and welding. Other programs may eventually be added to this new collaboration.
