Rep. Reineke Commends State Approval of Church & Dwight Expansion Project
State Representative Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) announced that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) has approved a project that is expected to create 20 new full-time jobs at Church & Dwight in Old Fort.
During its monthly meeting, held on July 25th, the TCA approved a six year, 1.054% Job Creation Tax Credit for the $2 million plant expansion project. The 20 new positions will create an estimated $1.2 million in payroll, along with an additional $11.9 million in retained payroll.
“An additional 20 jobs created in Old Fort is great news for everyone involved,” Rep. Reineke said. “This kind of good news does not happen without strong leadership, and we have plenty of dedicated leaders here in our community. Tireless efforts from business leaders like Church & Dwight Plant Manager David Johnston, the Seneca County Commissioners and the entire team at Seneca Industrial and Economic Development Corporation brought this project to fruition. I am pleased to see everyone working together to find solutions that bring success to our community.”
The Church & Dwight project was one of seven statewide projects approved by the TCA, totaling in $30 million of new payroll and $25 million in investments. The TCA, a five-member independent board consisting of taxation and economic development professionals from throughout the state, meets monthly to review, monitor and approve tax credit projects.
