Rep. Pizzulli Highlights Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant Program

COLUMBUS – State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) today announced that the application for the Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant will be open September 4 until September 13 at 11:59 p.m.
“Ohio has a strong and proud history, and it is important that our young people have the opportunity to experience it firsthand,” said Rep. Pizzulli. “There is no better way to learn about our state and our democracy than by seeing the Ohio Statehouse in person. I encourage our schools across Scioto, Adams, and Brown counties to apply for this grant and give their students the opportunity to visit our Capitol.”
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) will award 180 grants to schools across Ohio, helping cover the cost of school bus transportation to the Ohio Statehouse and its museum. Grants will be awarded evenly among three categories based on one-way travel from the applicant's school to the Ohio Statehouse:
- 0 to 50 miles (60 grants)
- 51 to 100 miles (60 grants)
- 101+ miles (60 grants)
Only schools that receive state funding are eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted online and by an authorized teacher or school administrator. To learn more information, click here.
