Rep. Pizzulli Celebrates Tourism in Ohio

State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) today highlighted the 2026 Ohio Travel Guide, an initiative developed by TourismOhio, and a free resource available for Ohioans and visitors to explore all that Ohio has to offer.

In addition to the guide, Rep. Pizzulli highlighted some of his favorite and most popular in-district destinations:

Scioto County:

  • Portsmouth Flood Wall Murals – Capturing 2,000 years of history in Portsmouth
  • The Portsmouth Brewing Co. – Established in 1843, providing various comfort foods and beverages to Southeast Ohioans

Adams County: 

  • The Great Serpent Mound – This 1,348-foot-long prehistoric effigy mound, located in Peebles, is known as the largest in the world
  • JT’s Stovetop BBQ – a West Union, Ohio, BBQ joint known for its smoked meats and unique dishes

Brown County: 

  • The John Rankin House – Built in 1825, this historic home is known as one of the first stops on the Underground Railroad
  • Ripley’s Dinner Bell – Established in 2025, this local restaurant in Ripley, Ohio, offers a variety of comfort food and historic charm

House Bill 96 – Ohio’s State Operating Budget – included $11 million per fiscal year to support travel and tourism in Ohio, which is an increase of over $3 million in funding from the previous budget. In 2024, Ohio’s tourism industry generated $57 billion in total economic impact. Additionally, Ohio’s tourism industry employs over 443,000 people statewide.
