Rep. Manning Highlights Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant Program

COLUMBUS – State Representative Gayle Manning (R-Avon) today announced that the application for the Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant will be open September 4 until September 13 at 11:59 p.m.
“This grant opens the door to Ohio’s history and government, giving students the opportunity to experience the Statehouse firsthand and turn a field trip into a meaningful lesson in civics, leadership, and democracy,” said Rep. Manning.
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) will award 180 grants to schools across Ohio, helping cover the cost of school bus transportation to the Ohio Statehouse and its museum. Grants will be awarded evenly among three categories based on one-way travel from the applicant's school to the Ohio Statehouse:
- 0 to 50 miles (60 grants)
- 51 to 100 miles (60 grants)
- 101+ miles (60 grants)
Only schools that receive state funding are eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted online and by an authorized teacher or school administrator. To learn more information, click here.
