Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari Appointed to Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission
State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) was recently appointed by the Speaker of the House, Jason Stephens, to serve on the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.
“I am grateful for the confidence Speaker Stephens has placed in me with this appointment to continue serving on the commission,” said Ghanbari. “The Ohio Turnpike is nationally recognized as a vital commerce corridor and is an essential element of our state’s prosperity. My commitment is steadfast to improving our infrastructure and strengthening economic development here in Northwest Ohio and more broadly across our great state.”
Ghanbari previously served the last two years on the commission and also served on the House Transportation and Public Safety Committee. Executive Director Ferzan M. Ahmed, P.E. discussed Ghanbari’s track record on the commission.
“We’re extremely pleased to have Rep. Ghanbari serve a second term on the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission,” said Ahmed. “Since the outset, he has been engaged and has provided valuable and thoughtful insight. We are looking forward to his continued stewardship and perspective on issues that impact our customers and the communities we serve.”
The Ohio Turnpike is a 241-mile toll road offering one of the safest, best and most convenient routes for motorists to reach east/west destinations along the northern corridor of Ohio. The commission’s goal is to be the industry leader in providing safe and efficient transportation services to customers, communities, and partners.
