Rep. Gross Announces State Approval of Major Job-Creation Project in Butler County

COLUMBUS, OH — State Representative Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) today announced the Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s approval of a major economic development project in West Chester Township, a significant investment that will create hundreds of new jobs and strengthen Butler County’s manufacturing base.
“This is great news for Butler County and for the hardworking men and women who make our local manufacturing sector so strong,” said Rep. Gross. “Steel & O’Brien’s investment in West Chester Township brings high-quality jobs, strengthens our regional economy, and reinforces Ohio’s reputation as a leader in advanced manufacturing.”
The project is expected to create 230 new full-time-equivalent jobs, generate $13.3 million in new annual payroll, and include a significant investment in new machinery and equipment at a new facility to meet growing demand. Steel & O’Brien is an American manufacturer of sanitary stainless-steel fittings used in industries such as data centers, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.
Statewide, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved eight projects that are expected to create 1,320 new jobs, retain 1,195 existing jobs, generate more than $80.6 million in new annual payroll, and result in over $853 million in capital investment across Ohio.
