Pavliga Appointed to OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp to the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board. The board will be responsible for developing and approving procedures for the disbursement of opioid funds for the Foundation.

“I’m honored to be selected by Speaker Cupp to fulfill this role for Ohio,” said Pavliga. “This collaborative effort will be crucial for our entire state. I’m looking forward to working with the board to address the opioid crisis, it remains a top priority for me to help combat the damage caused by opioid use throughout Ohio.” 

The Ohio Recovery Foundation Board will consist of 29 members in total. Six state officials will be selected to serve on the board by the Governor and Attorney General. Four board members will be drawn from the Legislature. To be certain of a diverse board, eleven members will reside in non-metropolitan regions and the remaining eight members will represent metropolitan regions. 

In addition to the 29 board members, an expert panel will be established to represent local governments throughout the state. This panel’s variety of close relationships with localities will be invaluable to determining precise solutions.
