Lanese Named Chair of House Higher Education and Career Readiness Committee

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) named State Representative Laura Lanese (R-Grove City) Chair of the Ohio House Higher Education and Career Readiness Committee.

“I would like to thank Speaker Cupp for recognizing my background and experience in higher education to be an effective leader as Chair of the House Higher Education and Career Readiness Committee,” said Lanese. “It is exciting to see the addition of ‘Career Readiness’ to the prior named ‘Higher Education Committee’ and I am eager to get to work with my colleagues to prepare Ohio’s youth for higher education and the workforce.”

In addition to serving as Chair of the House Higher Education and Career Readiness Committee, Lanese will serve as a member of the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee and the Public Utilities Committee.

“The Ohio House is a talented group of members with extensive experience, knowledge and a passion for public service,” said Cupp. “I look forward to a robust committee process that results in good public policy for Ohio.”
