Koehler Named Chair of Agriculture and Conservation Committee
COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) last week announced that State Representative Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) has been named Chairman of the House’s Agriculture and Conservation Committee for the 134th General Assembly.
“I appreciate Speaker Cupp’s decision to change the second focus of the House’s Agriculture Committee from ‘Rural Development” to ‘Conservation’,” said Koehler. “While maintaining water quality is the responsibility of everyone in Ohio, I have watched farmers go above and beyond to protect the State’s precious and abundant water sources. I’m excited to help lead full-bodied debate as Chairman of the Agriculture and Conservation Committee and to represent the 79th Ohio House District in doing so.”
Koehler will also serve as a member of Primary and Secondary Education Committee and the Technology and Innovation Committee.
“The Ohio House is a talented group of members with extensive experience, knowledge and a passion for public service,” said Cupp. “I look forward to a robust committee process that results in good public policy for Ohio.”
