House Committees Consider Legislation Championed by Rep. Hall
COLUMBUS—Four House committees this week began and continued hearings on legislation sponsored State Representative Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.).
The House Public Safety Committee heard proponent testimony on House Bill 20, legislation to ensure first responders have the necessary amount of space to get their jobs done and remain focused on the incident at hand. Hall is sponsoring the bill alongside State Rep. Phil Plummer (R-Dayton).
House Bill 122, legislation to create a new income tax credit for employers who provide paid leave to employees who make an organ donation, received a third hearing in the House Ways and Means Committee. Hall is sponsoring this measure alongside State Rep. Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek).
The House Judiciary Committee continued hearings on Aspen Runnels’ Law, House Bill 203. Sponsored by Hall and State Rep. Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.), this bill will increase penalties for traffic offenses that occur in an active school zone.
Hall also provided sponsor testimony before the House Financial Institutions Committee on House Bill 278, legislation to update Ohio law pertaining to the Treasurer of State. Hall is sponsoring the bill alongside State Rep. Ty Mathews (R-Findley).
“I am proud to continue to champion policy that is good for my district and the state as a whole,” said Hall. “These bills will directly increase public safety and continue to make Ohio the best place to work, live, and raise a family.”
