COLUMBUS—The House Civil Justice Committee today began hearings on House Bill 466, legislation to establish minimum standards for what must be included in real estate representation agreements, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland).
Under the bill, written representation agreements between a real estate brokerage and its clients will be required to include the terms of representation by a brokerage and its agents and the commission structure.
“This bill will directly improve the homebuying process and help Ohioans achieve the goal of homeownership,” said Schmidt.
House Bill 466 awaits further consideration by the House Civil Justice Committee.
