Hall Appointed to Committee on Statewide Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network Steering
COLUMBUS – The Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) yesterday appointed State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) to the Statewide Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network Steering Committee.
The committee is tasked with analyzing Ohio’s current technology infrastructure and developing policies and standards for the development and governance of a statewide Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (ESINet).
“As Chair of the House Technology and Innovation Committee, this committee addresses two issue areas that are very important to me—technological advancement and public safety,” said Hall. “I am honored to serve on the committee.”
An ESINet is a network that connects calls, texts, and other forms of communication from the public to 911 Public Safety Answering Points, which receive and process 911 calls.
