Gross Introduces Legislation to Promote Second Amendment Rights and Responsible Gun Ownership

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) recently introduced legislation to provide a tax exemption for firearm safety devices. Gross is sponsoring the bill alongside State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland).

Under the bill, firearm safety devices will be exempt from sales and use tax, including gun safes, locks, and additional safety devices.

“This legislation directly uplifts our second amendment rights by providing financial relief to Ohio gunowners while simultaneously promoting responsible gun ownership,” said Gross. 

The legislation awaits a bill number and House committee assignment.
