Rep. Pillich Celebrates Women Veterans

On Friday, State Rep. and Air Force Veteran Connie Pillich (D-Montgomery) welcomed and introduced participants of the Celebrating Women Veterans healthcare event at the Marriott Kingsgate in Cincinnati.

The event brought medical professionals and women veterans together to discuss the importance of women’s healthcare and highlight services available through Veterans’ Affairs and non-profit groups. The group also honored local veterans with the Greater Cincinnati Women Veteran of the Year Awards.

“I am honored to share my gratitude with such a strong group of fellow women veterans,” said Rep. Pillich. “This gathering underscores the importance of recognizing women for our service to our nation. It also serves as a reminder that, after times of conflict, our veterans deserve access to services and resources—especially healthcare.”

Topics of discussion at the event included Defending Your Breast Health and Women’s Health at the VA. Rep. Pillich also reminded attendees that the Ohio Veterans Bonus is nearing its end.
