OTCA approves Checkpoint Surgical Inc. and Market Track LLC Tax Credit projects

COLUMBUS—State Representative Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) announced today that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved Job Creation Tax Credits for expansion projects with Checkpoint Surgical and Market Track LLC (Numerator). The projects will take place in Highland Hills, which is located in Ohio House District 12.

“This is wonderful news for Checkpoint Surgical, Market Track LLC, and House District 12,” said Rep. Brent. “This is another step forward in guaranteeing the Ohio Promise that Ohioans can live, work, and retire here at home by providing them with good paying jobs.”

The OTCA approved a 1.625 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax for the project with Checkpoint Surgical Inc., Village of Highland Hills (Cuyahoga County). It is expected to create 18 full-time positions, generating $1.9 million in new annual payroll. They will also retain 17 jobs which is $2.3 million in existing payroll. The OTCA approved a 1.177 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project with Market Track, which is expected to create 65 full-time positions, generating $2.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $2.4 million in existing payroll.
