Ohio Jewish Caucus Hosts Community Town Hall in Youngstown
COLUMBUS — The Ohio Jewish Caucus in partnership with the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation this week hosted a community town hall that brought together dozens of community members for a conversation about the issues impacting Ohio’s Jewish Community and the role state government can play in addressing them.
“We are grateful to the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation for their hospitality and partnership. The work they do to serve both Jewish and non-Jewish community members is an invaluable part of the Mahoning Valley and helps strengthen the region as a whole,” said the Ohio Jewish Caucus. “We remain committed to serving as a bridge between Ohio’s Jewish communities and the Statehouse. Events like this allow us to hear directly from Ohioans, learn from their experiences, and have meaningful conversations about how legislation and policies being considered in Columbus may impact their daily lives.”
Prior to the town hall, members of the Ohio Jewish Caucus toured the Federation’s 22-acre campus, which includes a Jewish Community Center, Ohio’s last remaining Jewish-operated nursing home, and educational facilities serving students in grades K–8. The tour highlighted the Federation’s broad impact and its commitment to serving individuals at every stage of life, from early childhood through end-of-life care.
The Ohio Jewish Caucus is proudly represented by Senator Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson), Reps. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati), Beryl Brown Piccolantonio (D-Gahanna), Christine Cockley (D-Columbus), Eric Synenberg (D-Beachwood), and Karen Brownlee (D-Symmes Township).
