COLUMBUS- Rep. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) today announced that the Ohio EPA is now accepting grant applications for Water Quality Improvement projects for nonpoint source pollution affecting Ohio lakes and streams. Application materials must be received by March 16.

“I encourage organizations and agencies—especially here in Toledo—to apply for these grants as we continue to work together to develop new, innovative ways to keep our waterways clean and our drinking water safe for all Ohioans,” Rep. Hicks-Hudson said.

Grants will fund 100 percent of the project cost and have a maximum three-year term. Local participants are not required to provide matching funds. Ohio is providing the necessary match through state funded projects. If a prospective applicant has questions regarding the application process, please contact john.mathews@epa.ohio.gov or rick.wilson@epa.ohio.gov.

The application and request for proposals are available on Ohio EPA’s website.
