COLUMBUS – State Representative Tracy Richardson presented a commendation to Jessica Coleman during a ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse Wednesday for her induction into the Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame.

Coleman is a 2017 graduate of the college and founder and executive director of the Legacy Mentoring Group.

“Jessica is an extraordinary role model for others to emulate. Her passion for giving back to the community and her dedication to excellence make her a shining star worthy of accolades,” said Richardson. “It was my joy and privilege to commend her today (Wednesday) at the Ohio Statehouse.”

Marion Technical College held their first inaugural alumni hall of fame induction in 2016. To be inducted into the hall of fame, nominees must be a graduate of the college, demonstrate excellence and growth in their business or profession, be an example of what can be accomplished with a degree from Marion Technical College to current and future students and provide service to the community.

“I also want to acknowledge the other Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame inductees from the 86th District including Ritch Ramey and Krista Mulvaine,” Richardson added. “These outstanding individuals were unable to attend the commendation ceremony, but we are proud of them and their efforts are certainly praiseworthy.”

Coleman was nominated for the award by Robin VanSickle who attended the commendation ceremony at the Statehouse along with her son Noland and Jessica’s son Keegan.
