Richardson Meets with ODOT to Discuss District Plans
COLUMBUS – State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) met with members of the Ohio Department of Transportation recently to discuss concerns with the infrastructure in the 86th District.
Richardson, along with ODOT District Deputy Director Toni Turowski, visited the U.S. 33, state Route 161 interchange project site that began in the spring of this year. She also spent a significant amount of time discussing other on-going projects within the district.
“The importance of our roadways cannot be understated,” said Richardson. “The greater Columbus area, including Dublin and Marysville, are commuting cities that rely on well-working infrastructure to get to and from their communities each day. These major projects will provide safer routes of travel for daily commuters."
The interchange project will include two new loop ramps to U.S. 33 to eliminate existing left-turn conflicts and the exit ramps will be re-aligned to connect with Eiterman Road and Hyland-Croy Road. The project is scheduled to be complete by the spring of 2025.
“Infrastructure has a direct impact upon our quality of life,” Richardson added. “No one likes to sit in traffic and we all want safety. In our growing and expanding district, we need the improvements in a timely and cost-effective way.”
