Patton Encourages those Affected by Closures to Seek Resources
State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) announced for individuals affected by the recent closures, there are several resources workers and small business owners can apply for as they have been impacted due to the coronavirus.
“Our nation and communities are facing unprecedented times,” said Patton. “I want all those to be aware of the unemployment benefits and types of relief they can receive as many closures are affecting people’s day-to-day lives and possibly their income.”
Patton suggests the following helpful resources for unemployment benefits and relief for those that will be negatively impacted as a result of this crisis:
-For Unemployment benefits, to file a claim: unemployment.cmt.ohio.gov.
- Impacted Ohio small businesses can contact Ohio Development Services Agency for assistance at businesshelp@development.ohio.gov.

“These are useful tools you and your family can apply for during this difficult time,” said Patton. “Everyone needs to be taken care of as our communities adjust to these recent closures, and hopefully this will help remedy any losses families are facing.”
