Funds Approved to Continue Trail Construction
COLUMBUS – The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $417,701 to support the second phase of the construction of Glenwillow-Tinker’s Creek Trail South Multi-Purpose Trail, State Representatives Thomas Patton (R-Strongsville) and Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) announced today.
The trail, which is currently 0.46 mile, will continue to the village corporate line with Summit County. The 10-foot wide multi-purpose trail will be ADA compliant and designated as a non-motorized trail for walking, cycling, jogging or other similar uses.
“I look forward to this project continuing with the release of these funds,” said Representative Greenspan.
“I believe the trail will be widely used and enjoyed throughout our communities,” Representative Patton agreed.
The total project cost is $556,935.
Clean Ohio Trails Fund assistance will fund the construction phase of this project, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The project is one of 20 across the state to receive approval in this round of funding.
